O2Kem is an independent company created on 2012 and focused on the use of molecular oxygen for chemistry, research and laboratory purposes.
About Us
Since 2012, O2Kem supplies Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology companies with a wide range of value added services.
O2Kem uses molecular oxygen for different applications and supports these applications with associated chemistry and analytical services.
Our Services
O2Kem supplies a wide range of value added services around its major molecular oxygen chemistry know-how. Synthesis of different Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) allows access to unknown by-products generated by oxidative stress as well as research on new active derivatives
Antioxidant assessment (in vitro)
DPPH assay
Superoxide anion scavenging activity
Peroxynitrite scavenging activity
Trolox equivalent antioxidant capacity assay (TEAC)
Reducing Power (RP)
Inhibition of Lipid Peroxidation: β-carotene-linoleic acid assay
Contract
Fee for services or typical research contracts are proposed
IP, confidentiality and proprietary information are strictly observed
Custom synthesis as support of research
Synthesis on milligram to multi-gram scale, simple or more complex (typically 10-15 steps)
Preparation of cold-labeled reference compounds (2H, 13C) to support studies
Chemistry performed using Schlenk techniques under a dry argon atmosphere
R&D activities
Since 2012, O2Kem has been developing its own research work which has enabled to be accredited for French Research Tax Credit (“Crédit d’Impôt Recherche”; CIR) status every three years.
O2Kem licenses access to SciFindern, a CAS product, to carry out its bibliographic research and technological watch.
CAS, a division of the American Chemical Society, owns all rights and interests in SciFindern and is neither affiliated with nor specifically endorsing O2Kem.
